Debris comes in all shapes and sizes, but the ones that fall from trees can be some of the most damaging to your drainage system. Overhanging branches can drop leaves, needles, and twigs that make their way from rooftop into the gutter downspout. Prevent them from entering and choking up your drain pipes by putting the 12 in. Downspout Defender™ Catch Basin Drain Grate in place. The 12 in. Downspout Defender Grate has a unique, patented design that captures more stormwater runoff than a traditional drain grate or drain cover. The grate has an angled face that minimizes splashing; water drains through while debris is deflected away and slides down the sloped surface into an easy-to-clean shelf. Made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) treated with UV inhibitors

Applications
  • Protect your drainage system by deflecting leaves, needles, twigs, nuts, and seeds that travel from overhanging trees to your rooftop into your downspout, while capturing excess surface water into your catch basin or low-profile adapter
  • Use with the 12 in. square catch basin, riser, or low-profile adapter to drain excess stormwater from under downspouts
  • Compatible with 12 in. catch basin drains, risers, and low-profile adapters
Features
  • Unique, patented design captures more water than traditional flat drain grates
  • Reduces downspout splashing to protect your property walls
  • Angled face on grate deflects debris; debris slides off the surface and into tray
